II Kings 15 · מלכים ב

In the twenty seventh year of Yorov῾am king of Yisra᾽el, ῾Azarya son of Amażya king of Yehuda began to reign.

Sixteen years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty two years in Yerushalayim. And his mother’s name was Yekholyahu of Yerushalayim.

And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Amażyahu had done;

except that the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burnt incense still on the high places.

And the Lord smote the king, so that he was afflicted with żara῾at until the day of his death, and dwelt in the house of immunity. And Yotam the king’s son was over the house, judging the people of the land.

And the rest of the acts of ῾Azaryahu, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Yehuda?

So ῾Azarya slept with his fathers; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David: and Yotam his son reigned in his stead.

In the thirty eighth year of ῾Azaryahu king of Yehuda did Zekharyahu the son of Yorov῾am reign over Yisra᾽el in Shomeron six months.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, as his fathers had done: he departed not from the sins of Yorov῾am the son of Nevat, who made Yisra᾽el to sin.

And Shallum the son of Yavesh conspired against him, and smote him before the people, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.

And the rest of the acts of Zekharya, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Yisra᾽el.

This was the word of the Lord which he spoke to Yehu, saying, Thy sons shall sit on the throne of Yisra᾽el to the fourth generation. And so it came to pass.

Shallum the son of Yavesh began to reign in the thirty ninth year of ῾Uzziyya king of Yehuda; and he reigned a full month in Shomeron.

For Menaĥem the son of Gadi went up from Tirża, and came to Shomeron, and smote Shallum the son of Yavesh in Shomeron, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.

And the rest of the acts of Shallum, and his conspiracy which he made, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Yisra᾽el.

Then Menaĥem smote Tifsaĥ, and all that were therein, and its borders from Tirża: because they opened not to him, therefore he smote it; and all the women that were there with child he ripped up.

In the thirty ninth year of ῾Azarya king of Yehuda, Menaĥem the son of Gadi began to reign over Yisra᾽el, and reigned ten years in Shomeron.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord: he departed not all his days from the sins of Yorov῾am the son of Nevat, who made Yisra᾽el to sin.

And Pul the king of Ashshur came against the land: and Menaĥem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to strengthen the kingdom in his hand.

And Menaĥem exacted the money from Yisra᾽el, from all the mighty men of wealth, of each man fifty shekels of silver, to give to the king of Ashshur. So the king of Ashshur turned back, and stayed not there in the land.

And the rest of the acts of Menaĥem, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Yisra᾽el?

And Menaĥem slept with his fathers; and Peqaĥya his son reigned in his stead.

In the fiftieth year of ῾Azarya king of Yehuda, Peqaĥya the son of Menaĥem began to reign over Yisra᾽el on Shomeron, and reigned two years.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord: he departed not from the sins of Yorov῾am the son of Nevat, who made Yisra᾽el to sin.

But Peqaĥ the son of Remalyahu, a captain of his, conspired against him, and smote him in Shomeron, in the palace of the king’s house, (by Argov and the Arye) and with him fifty men of the Gil῾adim: and he killed him, and reigned in his place.

And the rest of the acts of Peqaĥya, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Yisra᾽el.

In the fifty second year of ῾Azarya king of Yehuda, Peqaĥ the son of Ramalyahu began to reign over Yisra᾽el in Shomeron, and reigned twenty years.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord: he departed not from the sins of Yorov῾am the son of Nevat, who made Yisra᾽el to sin.

In the days of Peqaĥ king of Yisra᾽el, Tiglat-pil᾽eser king Ashshur came and took ῾Iyyon, and Avel-bet-ma῾akha, and Yanoaĥ, and Qedesh, and Ḥażor, and Gil῾ad, and the Galil, all the land of Naftali, and carried them captive to Ashshur.

And Hoshea the son of Ela made a conspiracy against Peqaĥ the son of Remalyahu, and smote him, and slew him, and reigned in his stead, in the twentieth year of Yotam the son of ῾Uzziyya.

And the rest of the acts of Peqaĥ, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Yisra᾽el.

In the second year of Peqaĥ the son of Remalyahu king of Yisra᾽el, Yotam the son of ῾Uzziyyahu king of Yehuda began to reign.

He was twenty five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Yerushalayim. And his mother’s name was Yerusha, the daughter of Żadoq.

And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord: he did according to all that his father ῾Uzziyyahu had done.

Yet the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burned incense still on the high places. He built the higher gate of the house of the Lord.

Now the rest of the acts of Yotam, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Yehuda?

In those days the Lord began to send against Yehuda Reżin the king of Aram, and Peqaĥ the son of Remalyahu.

And Yotam slept with his fathers and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Aĥaz his son reigned in his stead.
