Deuteronomy 34 · Parashat Vezot Haberakhah

1

And Moshe went up from the plains of Mo᾽av to the mountain of Nevo, to the top of Pisga, facing Yereĥo, And the Lord showed him all the land of Gil῾ad, to Dan,

2

and all Naftali, and the land of Efrayim, and Menashshe, and all the land of Yehuda, as far as the utmost sea,

3

and the Negev, and the plain; the valley of Yereĥo, city of the palm trees, as far as Żo῾ar.

4

And the Lord said to him, This is the land which I swore to Avraham, to Yiżĥaq and to Ya῾aqov, saying, I will give it to thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thy eyes, but thou shalt not go over there.

5

So Moshe the servant of the Lord died there in the land of Mo᾽av, according to the word of the Lord.

6

And he buried him in the valley in the land of Mo᾽av, over against Bet-pe῾or: but no man knows his grave to this day.

7

And Moshe was a hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.

8

And the children of Yisra᾽el wept for Moshe in the plains of Mo᾽av thirty days: and the days of weeping and mourning for Moshe were ended.

9

And Yehoshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moshe had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Yisra᾽el hearkened to him, and did as the Lord commanded Moshe.

10

And there arose not a prophet since in Yisra᾽el like Moshe, whom the Lord knew face to face,

11

in all the signs and the wonders, which the Lord sent him to do in the land of Miżrayim to Par῾o, and to all his servants and to all his land,

12

and in all that mighty hand, and in all the great terror which Moshe performed in the sight of all Yisra᾽el.
